ASF Satellite Tracking Antennas

The Alaska Satellite Facility operates four satellite tracking and communications antennas that are part of the Near Space Network (NSN), a global array of ground-based spacecraft-support facilities managed by the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

ASF operates two facilities that provide ground-based communications and tracking support for polar orbiting satellites.

With four antennas, this is the only university-based satellite tracking ground station in the NASA Near Space Network. It is located on the Troth Yeddha’ campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
